SAEE is a national non-governmental (NGO) technical association whose members include all interested engineers, geologists, seismologists, architects and urban planners, educators, researchers, economists, sociologists, representatives of government institutions, municipal staff responsible for implementing regulations and construction inspection, members of emergency response services in crisis situations, and professionals from other fields affected by earthquakes or involved in studying their causes and consequences. SAEE is the national organization representing Serbia in the International Association for Earthquake Engineering (IAEE) and the European Association for Earthquake Engineering (EAEE). The IAEE is a global association comprising national organizations from its member countries, while the EAEE brings together national earthquake engineering associations across Europe and serves as the leading organization for cooperation and the advancement of earthquake engineering in Europe.
