The First Croatian Conference on Earthquake Engineering (1CroCEE) will be held from March 22 to March 24, 2021. This conference is dedicated to commemorating the anniversary of the earthquake that struck Zagreb and its surroundings on March 22, 2020 (ML 5.5). Although moderate in intensity according to seismological data, this earthquake caused significant damage to the building stock in the center of Zagreb, especially public buildings such as government institutions, cultural heritage sites, and scientific and educational institutions.
The Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Zagreb is organizing this conference with the goal of bringing together earthquake engineering experts from Croatia and other countries to contribute through their participation to the exchange of experiences and to raising the level of seismic resilience in Croatia and Europe. The conference will be held in English.
The Serbian Association for Earthquake Engineering (SAEE) invites its members to prepare papers for this conference related to professional and/or scientific research work in the field of earthquake engineering. The first step is to submit an abstract of 250-300 words, with a deadline of December 15, 2020. All information can also be found on the website https://crocee.grad.hr/event/1/
