The Japanese Association for Earthquake Engineering, in cooperation with the International Association for Earthquake Engineering, is organizing the 17th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (17th WCEE) in September 2020 in Sendai, Japan. This is the most significant global conference in the field of earthquake engineering, where current topics in earthquake engineering will be highlighted. The conference organizers especially aim to encourage the participation of young researchers and engineers involved in earthquake engineering, and special forums for young researchers are planned.
