The first collaboration between SUZI and EERI in preparing a report on the 2019 earthquake in Albania.
We are pleased to inform you that the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) has published a publicly available report under the Learning from Earthquakes (LFE) program, titled:
„M6.4 Albania Earthquake on November 26, 2019“
Although EERI did not have its own team on the ground, it gathered several individuals and teams who visited Albania after the earthquake. Their observations and conclusions are described in detail in 4 chapters:
- Summary
- Seismological aspects and geotechnical impacts
- Resilience and recovery
- Performance of structures
We are pleased to highlight that the SAEE team, which visited Albania after the earthquake, also participated in writing this report. The SAEE team consisted of:
- Prof Dr Svetlana Brzev, M.Sc. Civil Eng., University of British Columbia, Canada (President of SAEE)
- Asst Prof Dr Marko Marinković, M.Sc. Civil Eng., University of Belgrade Faculty of Civil Engineering (Member of the SAEE Management Board)
- Assistant Ivan Milićević, M.Sc. Civil Eng., University of Belgrade Faculty of Civil Engineering (Member of the SAEE Management Board)
- PhD student Nikola Blagojević, M.Sc. Civil Eng., ETH Zurich, Switzerland (President of the SAEE Publications Committee)
